# Delete a set

> DELETE /v1/sets/{id}: remove a set you no longer need.

Returns `204 No Content`. Queries that refer to the set afterwards get `404 unknown_set`.

Unused sets are deleted automatically after 7 days, and a create past the
[per-project quota](https://docs.bloklake.com/production/limits.md#per-project) of 50 sets and 50 MiB makes room by deleting
the least recently used idle sets. Delete a set yourself to free the room right away.
